Second Annual Planter Sale and Community Plant Swap
We’re hosting a planter sale and community plant swap at Studio Maypop! Bring your extra plants from your home, garden and yard to share. Seeds welcome as well. Invite your friends and neighbors, too! There will be tags to mark your plants with their names, special care, and if they’re native or not.
We’ll have lots of planters of all shapes and sizes from David Roswell, Dylan Traister, and Allison Daniel, as well as other pottery, jewelry, and prints.
Beeswax Candle + Clay Candlestick Workshop
Join us for a hands-on workshop combining hand-dipped beeswax candles and ceramic candlesticks. Participants will learn to dip beeswax candles with Em Trentham, a visiting artist from the Penland area, then carve and decorate a pair of clay candlesticks to pair with them.
We’ll break for lunch midday — bring food or visit one of the nearby restaurants. Limited to 8 participants for an intimate, hands-on experience. Sliding scale pricing available.
Coaster Making Workshop
Hands-on lithographic clay coaster workshop in Durham, NC. Create a set of four custom ceramic coasters using your own images. One-day workshop, small group, all materials included.
